Trash

Deleting a note or folder in Skriuw never destroys it right away. It moves to Trash, a holding area where you can bring it back or remove it for good.

How it works

Delete a note or folder and it disappears from your workspace but lands in Trash instead of vanishing. Open Trash from the sidebar to see everything you've deleted, restore what you didn't mean to remove, or permanently delete items you're done with.

What happens when you delete

• Notes move to Trash individually
• Folders move to Trash along with everything inside them - subfolders and notes included
• Nothing is actually erased until you purge it

Restoring

• Click Restore on any item in Trash to bring it back exactly where it was
• Restoring a folder brings back its whole contents
• If the original folder was also deleted, the restored item reappears at the top level instead of getting lost

Permanent deletion

• Click Delete on a single item to remove it for good
• Use Empty trash to permanently delete everything in Trash at once
• Permanent deletion cannot be undone - there's no recovering an item once it's purged

Tips

• Trash is manual - Skriuw doesn't automatically empty it, so deleted notes stick around until you decide to purge them
• Use Trash as a safety net when cleaning up or reorganizing your workspace

Why use Trash?

Mistakes happen - a note gets deleted by accident, or a folder cleanup goes too far. Trash gives you a second chance before anything is gone for good, while still letting you fully clear things out whenever you're ready.
